Hello, I'm developing a ZSPRO (using the simgh transaction) but I have a problem. I want to add a document to a Structure Node, but the button to do it is disabled, so I have no option to add some existing documentation or to create a new one.
I thougth that maybe it wasn't possible for the CHAP class, but when I have looked in the standar SPRO, I have seen that most of the structure nodes have assigned the CHAP class and have also a documentation related.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks,
Tere.

Hi,
Please find all the authorization objects associated with transaction SIMGH using SU24.
Check whether you have authorization for all the objects.

Hi DPM, but how can I know which is the object related to my problem? (the one that doesn't allow me add a document to a structrure node?)
Thanks,
Tere Micola.

Hi,
Kindly check whether you have access to S_PROJECT or S_PROJECTS authorization object.
Authorizations for Customizing (SAP Library - Customizing (BC-CUS))
Also press SU53 to analyze authorization missing.

Hi DPM, the result of SU53 is perfect (there is no authorization missing). Related to SU24, there are also included both objects (S_PROJECT and S_PROJECTS).
If you have any other idea...
Thanks,
Tere.

Hi,
Kindly check the value of the authorization fields of those authorization object.

Hi DPM, look at the value of the auth for these objects:
In addition, my user is SAP ALL... So I don't think that it's a problem of permissions...
Thanks again,
Tere.

Hi Tere,
You need to add some activity under the nodes. Kindly create some activity and then see whether the documentation tab gets enabled. Kindly read the prerequisites on the first line of the link given below:
Assign IMG Documentation (SAP Library - IMG Structure Maintenance (BC-CUS))

Hi DPM,
Thanks again for your answer, but the link explains how to add documentation to an IMG Activity (type SIMG), not directly to a IMG Structure Node (type CHAP).

Tere.

Hi Shashi, yes, I tried to follow this link but it doesn't solve my problem. It doesn't explain if there is anyway to add a document to a Structure Node.
Thanks,
Tere.

Hi Teresa,
Recently we created documentation for a structure node in SPRO. Go through the below link, explained step by step process for documentation.
Enhance SPRO to add customized views

Hi Shashi, look at this picture,it's from the link you have sent me:
As you can see, when you create or modify an IMG Structure Node, the action to create a Document is disabled.
Whereas if you have a look in the SPRO standard, there are many Structure Nodes with a Document related:
This is what I mean.
I'm going to have a look to the SU53...
Thanks!
Tere.

Go to transaction SE61 and define/create your document there. Once defined use it in SIMGH.
In SE61 press F4 on Document Class and select ID HY and class CHAP. Enter name of document and and press create.

Pawan.

Hi Pawan, I've done it but it doesn't work.
I've already created a new document in SE61 but there is no way to add it to the structure node in SIMGH (the button to do it is still disabled).
Thanks,
Tere.

Hi Tere,
I created sample documentation, Go through the following steps.
1. No need to click on 'Create' button, Just click on 'ENTER' button.
2. Now NODE will be created as shown below, Position the cursor on 'ZTEST_SAMPLE' and Click on 'EDIT' button.
3. Enter valid fields in 'DOCUMENT' as shown in below screen.
4. Enter appropriate fields in 'ATTRIBUTE' as shown in below screen.
5. Enter appropriate fields in 'MAINT.OBJECTS' as shown in below screen and Click on 'SAVE' button.
6. OUTPUT: Click on 'IMG Activity Documentation' button as shown below.

Hi Shashi, thanks for your explanation, but it's just to add a Document to an IMG Activity, and what I want to do is to add a Document to an IMG Structure Node.

Hi Tere,
I've looked at the code in the pop-up screen and I can't see any way that those fields could be active. If I were to speculate I would say either this is functionality that was removed or internally SAP have a different tool to document these nodes.

Nick

Hi Nick,
I have got the same conclusion as you, but what I don't understand is that in the SPRO standard, there are many IMG Structure Nodes (type CHAP) with a document added. But maybe this is a functionality limited to the standard.

Tere.
