1. advantages of cyustal reprots over smartforms
These are the main differences.
1. Crystal reports direct connect to database tables,
and we can use the fields directly from these
tables/views.
2. Crystal report is MORE USER FRIENDLY
w.r.t to designing the report.
(Drag & Drop) features make it easy
to design the report.
3. TOTALLING and GROUPING Feature
is very very easy as compared to smartforms.
(we don't have to write any logic/code
for totals and subtotals)
4. In crystal reports, there can
be SUB-REPORTS and the MAIN REPORT.
In smartform, there is no such facility.
5. CROSS-TAB reports are
easily developed in crystal report.
where as in smartform,
its not possible directly,
we have to write the logic in the driver program,
or the smartform itself.
