Create / Change - Idoc

Hi,

We are in the process of transferring a BOM from a source system to target system.

When we create and change a bom separately , we are getting two idocs but we are not able to get the detail whether it is a creation idoc or a change idoc. Please suggest how to identify the same.

I have referred to a Process code IDOC_INPUT_BOMMAT which internally gets value from the table field combination STZUB/VBKZ ( Insert, Delete, Update ) but how does it gets affected by creating or changing the BOM as this is not included in the standard Message type of BOM idoc ( BOMMAT / BOMMAT04). Is there any specific settings needs to be done in fields MESCOD and MESFCT while defining the partner profile.
