Hello Pankaj
What do you mean by copying? If you need the object list of the task in another request's task then simply copy&paste the object list to the other task. However, you should not do this with workbench objects because they are supposed to be locked in a single request and not several ones.

Hi,
GOTO SE01 and open the TR.
Just right click on the TASK and click Copy.

Hi,
You can include a request in another request so the task under the request also gets included . Right Click on the Request and then take the option -> Include Objects -> Select Object list from another Request -> Which will take in the Objects from the other request you specify .Please specify the Request from which you want to copy the Objects .

Hi,
The other alternative is :
Right Click on the TR number ( not the task ) and create a New task.
Now place the cursor on the TASK to be copied and Click on Object List ( Atttributes ) from the application toolbar. This will display the list of Objects assigned to the task.
Copy paste the same OBJECT ID/Description to the NEW Task which you have created.
But, there is no point in having two tasks with the same details.

Prashant

Hi Prashant,
When i right click on the transport request there is no option to create task but there is a option to create new request.
Actually my requirement is; in a transport request when i tried to release a task it gave an error saying that "inactive object" so now it shows this task as "repair". i have activated that object and now i am not sure what to do so that the changes reflect in the next system.
Please suggest a way out.

Pankaj

HI,
if you have activated the object then release this task now. it will not give error. why you want to create new task.
If you want to create new task delete the object from this task and also delete the task. now open the object and activate it again it will ask for the request give this the request and a new task will be created in this request.

Hi Pankaj,
If the TR is not released, then do not create another task. Bcz you have activated the object, so the changes would have been stored in the TR as its not yet released.
To be on safer side, delete the TR and reactivate the object again ( just do pretty printer and then activate, it will ask for a TR ). So create a new TR and then release the TR.
Best regards,
Prashant
