This is not a small task. It is project by itself, typically required when there is big reorganization, merger or aquisition or seperation happens. I don't think this is within the scope of this forum to discuss such a big project.
There is a facility to copy company code data and delete company code data, but it is not complete and has its inherent flaws. We went through a merger and we had X consulting to come in to do a study and they estimated about 3 months to do the job.
If you are only talking about copying customer data from one company code to another company code, then it is lot simpler and I think there is a feature available to do that. Right now I am not in front of the system, so I cannot give you an exact answer, but will do it tomorrow, if it is not answered by then.
You can copy company code data for a customer in transaction XK01. ( It would be knid of creation ).
Just give the existing company code / sales org data in the reference tab. The data for new company code will be created and all data from existing comp code / sales org would be copied. You can edit data before saving .
If you want to do it by program you can use BAPI_CUSTOMER_GETDETAIL and then BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATE to copy the data to new company code.
