Copy a Form

Hi Friends,

I have created a form using Screen Painter. It is working fine. But, now I require to make some changes in the same form.

Instead of making the changes the same form, I want to take a copy of the form and do the changes in the new copy, so that the old form will be as it is without any change.

To do this, I do not find any option to copy.

Can any one guide me how to copy the existing form and do the changes in the copied form.

Hi,

If it is related to Module pool then there is a option copy in the Application tool bar of SE51.If it is a script then you can use the report program RSTXFCPY to copy a script.

When I tried to copy through SE51 copy option, the screen opens for typing the From Program and To Program.

In the From program field, I typed the existing program and in the To Program field, I typed the new program name.

But it is not copying the existing program to the new program name. Instead, I am getting message as New Program Name is not existing.

Could u pls clarify this.

I think u have <b>not activated the program</b> which u want to copy...

First activate it, Then only u can copy it to other program as i said...

Just Goto the menu or Press CNTL+F5(SE51) and u can copy accordingly..

Go to SE51 here u should find the COPY option.

But a form by SCREEN PAINTER?

Anyway you have to create the new program before copying the screen, if the new program isn't in SAP

Hi,

if you created a sapscript form using the <b> FORM </b> painter SE71:

In SE71, use Utilities->copy from client

Specify the name and client where you created the form, it always copies to the client you are logged on.

Hi,

in SE51 enter the program name and screen number and then go in. from Utilities ->More Utilities-> Upload/Download ->Download

download it to pC and then keep a backup.

hi,

You can do this in many ways.

1. Goto Form Painter(SE71). Utility->Copy from client. Here you have to mention the source and target form along with the client.

2. The other way is : Execute the report RSTXFCPY.Here also you have to mention the source and target form along with the client.

3. Also goto SE51 enter the program name and screen number and then go to display mode. Goto Utilities -> More Utilities-> Upload/Download ->Download

download the form to the desktop and then you can create a new form and upload the form from your desktop.
