converting classical into ALV report

HI Experts,

I hav a classical report that shows data and hav few input fields. I want to make this report in AVL which would hav input fields and will perform validations before saving data to DB.

I have first 3 columns as MATNR, MAKTX, MEINS.

And the rest 32 columns are plant name as PC01, PC02, PC03........

I want the first 3 columns will b static and the rest right columns will b moveable as it shows scrool bar in bottom.

Is it possible.

Plz help. urgent.

Hi,

YOu can achieve this functionality by defining those 3 fields as key fields in your field catelog, which means when u r preparing field catelog just pass KEY = 'X' for the fields MATNR, MAKTX, MEINS.

Khan,

Fixing the fields from scrolling can only be done in ALV reports as of me. This cannot be done in classical reports.

If you want fields which accepts inputs in the list output, this can be done using customer container in module pool where in you have to place a table control with fields equals to fields in final internal table. The screen has to be designed in screen painter and called from report program using CALL SCREEN XXXX.
