Conversion Error Problem

Dear sir ,

          I am use one domain in WERT7 in Ztable  this domain Sign Properties is not checked but Reqiurment change After sometime  that particular field is Containing Negative Value and when i maintain in SM30 the conversion Error problem is there , Suppose if I change the Domain of the Particular field the the coversion problem is solved but the last Production Data is Affected or not  ...????

Hi,

if you change the domain to WERTV7 you should not lost your data. If you are not sure, test it by your self, create a sample tablke in the development system, populate it with same example data and then change the domain.

Thanks Sir ,

     I was successfully tested in the Development server data is not Lost but i m not sure about the Production server ..???? Can  u give any  suggestion regarding this ???

It works also in the production system. Normaly you transport first in a QA-systems. Here you can see what happened there. The same behaivour can you expected in you productive system. (No risk no fun. ;-))

Hi,

this wont show any effect in production system also.

But make sure that this domain is used by any other standard or custom code.

If used please check the effect of your change before moving to the production.
