Controlling indicator does not exist BAPI_PO_CREATE1

Hi All,

1. Developed a report for mass load of purchase orders using bapi BAPI_PO_CREATE1

2. Inputs are excel sheet with header, item, schedule lines and account information

3. getting Error Controlling indicator for controlling area does not exist.

4. I have checked by creating the PO manually through ME21N T-CODE and found no errors

Questions:

1. Why i am getting this error where as no error when created manually through T-CODE?

2. Do i need to pass any additional info for controlling indicator to program/bapi?

Note: In both case i have used same data.

Debug the BAPI where it is giving error.For which field it is giving error.

Hi,

do you fill CO_AREA in BAPIMEPOACCOUNT.if you dont, fill it.if you fill, check wheter it is the correct value.if it is correct ,probably you have to make conversion ( conversion_exit_alpha_input ) before filling BAPIMEPOACCOUNT.

ps. do not forget to fill BAPIMEPOACCOUNTX-CO_AREA with 'X'.

Thanks for all your replies..

1. The message class is KI and message# 102

2. I have filled CO_AREA in BAPIMEPOACCOUNT and also provided X to CO_AREA in BAPIMEPOACCOUNTX but no results found

3. I have checked in the table TKA01 for controlling area and my controlling area is existing in that table.

4. Error is causing in the function module K_KOKRS_READ, in this fm the GJAHR parameter of FM is compared with I_TKA00-GJAHR and these two dates are not equal, and hence the issue is causing.

Example here export parameter is GJAHR whose value is 1995, and entry from the table TKA00-GJAHR is 2003.

Question: Is the both values must be same, if so where can we configure gjahr value?

I think export parameter gjahr must be greater than or equal to TKA00-gjahr.

Thank you for your prompt responses,

1. When i create po through T-Code ME21N, the export parameter for FM K_KOKRS_READ is 2011

2. when i try to create PO with BAPI_PO_CREATE1 i have noticed that the export parameter FM above is 1995

Questions:

1. Why this differences, and i am passing same data in both cases?

2. If it is taking the current year as gjahr, where we can pass in BAPI this value.
