Config changes

Hi ,

What do u mean by configuration changes?in Development and qulaity if there is any difference that means config changes means what?

please any one can tell me?with example

Config Changes are Changes to Customizing Objects (e.g. through IMG). Config changes are usually settings that a functional user would do in comparison to technical changes that involve ABAP which would require a developer.

In general you could say that config changes are usually done by functional consultants whereas anything that involves ABAP coding is not config related.

E.g. You set up order types in IMG and transport those settings. If you would now make changes to your DEV config but didn't transport this you will have config differences between DEV and Q.

hi check this..

generally all the setting are done in the tcode SPRO in the IMG general .....this is all done by the Functional people this is not related to the Technical people.... i will give you the example for that...

if you want to create a new company code for a customer then it will be created in the spro and the relations between the company codes (between two company codes) will be specifield through this only...
