Concept Clarification ?

I set up an output type based on a requirement(for change ).

I am unable to grasp the concept :

WHen i get into the Tcode , without doing any changes I goto messages , I see no message is determined . I go back and do some changes ( i dont even save them ) and now go and see the messages , as per the message schema and requirement ( I see that the code for req actually check the NAST table ) ...When i dint even save the changes , how can the NAST entry be written and checked in the Req Source Code.?

How does this actually work ?

Hello,

When an output type is added to a document, when u press enter the system will ask for the Ouput Devise. Once u give the output device. An entry will be made for that document.

If useful reward points.

I am not sure about this automatic message determination .,the system doesnt asks me anything ..based on the setting it fetches the output types for the document .

I want to know , when is the NAST entry actually writte? when is the Condition record actually created ?
