Hi all,
I have three fields declared as char132. All three fields are filled with text. I have one field which is declared as char1320.
I use the following code:
CONDENSE lv_text1.
CONDENSE lv_text2.
CONDENSE lv_text3.
CONCATENATE lv_text1
lv_text2
lv_text3
into text separated by space.
However, after this expression the field text only contains the text that was in the first textfield, lv_text1.
Any ideas on how to solve this?
BR,
Sjoerd.

data: lv_text1(132) ,
lv_text2(132) ,
lv_text3(132) ,
text(1320) .
move: 'abc' to lv_text1 ,
'def' to lv_text2 ,
'ghi' to lv_text3 .
CONCATENATE lv_text1
lv_text2
lv_text3
into text separated by space.
try this and let me know. i have tried and it works fine.

let us know the data declaration for all the variables you have used , to analyze the issue.
if its similar to my example it should have worked.

Hi Sjoerd,
Check FM STRING_CONCATENATE_3

Hi,
code is correct;
check wheather text2 and text3 contains value.
try to use write statement to check the value since in debugging visible length of the field is limited

check the values of LV_TEXT2 LV_TEXT3 in debugging & also the length of TEXT, is it big enough to hold the values of all the 3 LV_TEXT1,2,3.

it may be that the concatenate has worked but because you are only looking at the first portion it seems not to have worked. Try putting a condense after the concatenate.
condense text.

u r using separated by space
and CHAR (132) , CHAR (132) CHAR(132) into char (1320).
so, all the 3 are there in the final one but
after the first lv_text1.
if it has 5 chars, after that 132-5 spaces are filled.
remove that separated by space.
and after conactenate,
try using
CONDENSE TEXT NO_GAPS.
