There is a selection option available in PFCG (Utilities -> Settings -> select the option "Automatic User Master Adjustment when Saving Role"). From the text itself you can understand what it does. Also check the Role comparison specific switch in PRGN_CUST / SSM_CUST tables.

Hi

in the past the comparison button had been available all the time. Now it is only available, if a user comparison is necessary.

Please refer to [SAP Note 1272331|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1272331] .

Thank you Bernhard!

I had noticed this "program error" before some time ago as well, but actually found a use for it...

from the note: The same problem occurs when you execute transaction SU25, step 2c. A technical indicator was assigned to the roles displayed in the results list. This indicator signals the Profile Generator that the authorization data must be merged. The red status on the "Authorization" tab is transferred to the status of the user comparison.

Su24 might have been changed or SP's applies or the menus changed without the authorization data read again. This is a nice opportunity to "flag" roles via Su25 in upgrade cleanups which are "out of date" for other reasons (over time) or indirectly impacted by the upgrade (in the wild, this can be usefull when only the menu was being used).

Oh well... using "little hacks" die "little deaths" - but it did work nicely.

Anyway, I agree with the corrections of the note as my use of it was only a "workaround" to transfer roles to SUPC's selection options. This was my way of simulating a "test" of SU24 changes.

Cheers,

Julius
