Company code merger

We are planning to merge company code 0508 and 0501 to 0501 .The old company code would be inactive jan,2008. However the claims which are created for 0508 in 2007 when posted or accepted in 2008 would give an error saying company code does not exist .

Is there a BADI which can help in the area .?

are you talking about claims created in PR05 transaction.
