Column width problem with ALV print preview

Hi all,

I have a problem in ALV report print preview.

I have set fields and column width and saved them as a layout in print preview page.

Then go back to the ALV report and select the layout I set in print preview. When I open the print preview page again, the column width does not shown as I set, and I have to choose the layout again in the print preview page to show the column width I set.

To show the column width I need, I have to select layout twice in ALV report and print preview.

How can I get the column width by selecting layout once in the ALV report ?

Are there any way to set certain column width as default in print preview page?

Regards,

Mika

Hi Mika,

if you are working with an ALV Grid (especially) the problem may be that the layout has been saved with the option "Optimize column" selected.

Pls chech this in the "Display" label of the screen to modify your layout.

Hope this may help you

Thank you Moody,

Yes I am working on ALV rid control.

but i might make you confused...

I want to save column length in print preview, not in alv report.

(sorry it was not column width. It was column length in "Change Layout" in print preview.)

Well, I know I can save column length but once I go back to alv report and then see the print preview again, the length is gone and I need to select the layout again.

How can I avoid this situation?

Thanks,

Mika
