Dear Experts,
is it possible to export a client from a non unicode system and import them to a unicode system?
Is this procedure equatable to the transport from non unicode to unicode like note:
note 638357 - Transport zwischen Unicode- und Nicht-Unicode-Systemen
Thanks!

Hi Benjamin,
with a single code page system on the Non-Unicode side it is technically possible to do a client export / transfer on the Non-Unicode system and import it on the Unicode system.
The conversion is then handled in the rfc interface (or transport program).
Please also have a look at SAP notes 638357 and 552711.

Hi,
A client export via R3trans is different from a unicode conversion export using R3load.
Thus no its not possible to perform a client copy from a non-unicode system to a unicode system.
Cheers
