cl_gui_custom_container not found

Hi. We are currently running version 45B. I am trying to define a cl_gui_custom_container object in ABAP, but I am getting a message that this object type is not found.

Is this class available in 45B?

If you use

help.sap.com

and look for cl_gui_custom_container using R/3 v. 4.5, you will have NO ENTRIES FOUND.

If you do the same using 4.6B, you will get them. I must suppose that that class is not implemented in 4.5.

Any search using cl_gui in 4.5B returns NO ENTRIES FOUND.

All the enjoy controls (most every class that starts with CL_GUI*) were not available until 4.6x. If I remember right from 45B, the control framework only existed in parts and pieces are was not ready for customer use yet.

Thanks for the info. I'll just have to wait for the upgrade.
