changing value in TMG

i want to change value in the z-table through TMG but the thing is that the values not getting changed but adding anthoer value to it.

can u be a bit clear, r u trying to modify your table thru SM30 or from a program.

Check your key of the tables! Provide the table structure with screen shot and which field is giving the problem?

in my table one field is having fix values user when save the screen value that values saved in the table but later when the material is processed then the table filed which i want to change that value user wants to change later i made the TMG but when he goes to change it the new value record is adding in table how to avoid it

if the second field in the table is a key field , uncheck the key field and reactivate.

Please clear your requirement! Since your table is having the two key fields! definitely it will add the new record!

Hi ,

when you what to change the data of a table through table maintenance.

at that time you can not change the value of key field you only can change the value of non key field and can save them also.
