Changing material

hi experts,

I am having one problem, i have to change the material code in a whole system.

there is existing one material says "material1" and i have to change this material code to "material2" and all other properties will remain same as older one's.

Is it possible to do that.. please give me BAPI name of Functional Module for that.

Hi,

As such i dont think we can rename the material.but you can create a material by the reference of your old material and then can delete the original material.

The new material will inherit all the values of old material.
