Changing Material Document Type while Posting GR

Hi,

Is it possible to change the document type of material document number while posting the GR.

The method MB_DOCUMENT_BEFORE_UPDATE of BADI MB_DOCUMENT_BADI has all the necessary parameters required to change the document type.

I do not have any data with me as of now, so just need a confirmation whether this is possible or not.

If not possible, any other process ???

it is possible and u can use it....but make sure when the materials doc# is generated. if this is the place it is generating then u can very well use it or locate for an exit

The material document is already existing and I have to change the associated document type based on some condition of GR.

Hope it is possible.

Can you please suggest how can I change the document type because all the parameters to that BADI are import only. Is there any function module module to do that for us.
