How to check the changes made in the standard layout set , other than using Utilities--- -> Print preveiw ? Give me the different other ways to check it?

Vijaya,
Scripts have version management but Smartforms doesn't have.If you want to track the changes then the script should have been tagged to a Transport Request.
To compare two forms go to se71,give the form name and display.Now go to UTILITIES in the menu bar VERSIONS and compare forms(F5)

Standard Layout sets are the Forms comes out of Box with SAP.
MEDRUCK is one example of Standard lay out set for Purchase order.
When, you make some changes to that standard lay out set, you call it as Modification to Standard Layout set
