Change pointers (BD53) do not work for non standard SAP fields

Hello,

Our release is 40B.

I try to activate the change pointers on an additional idoc segment Z1MARAM (idoc extension) containing the field MARA-ZZBUNDLE. After maintaining/activating the reduction (BD53), all fields that we want to have the change pointer working on are there, except the MARA-ZZBUNDLE. <b>The change pointer is not working on this field.</b> After manually adding the field via BD52, the changepointer is still not working.

Additional info: Idoc is created correctly/send when sending without making use of change pointer.

Can anyone give a clue how to activate change pointer on MARA-ZZBUNDLE?

Hi,

use BD61 to cativate change pointers

Activating Change Pointers

Change pointer generation has to be activated at both the

general level and message type.

1) Goto BD61, check the checkbox Change pointers activated - generally.

2) Save

3) Goto BD50, Choose the row for message type MATMAS, and check mark the corresponding field

4) Save

Converting change pointers to IDOCs

• Create, change or mark for deletion materials using

transaction MM01, MM02, or MM06.

• Execute transaction BD21

• Enter Message type MATMAS

• Execute

You can see tha changes gets reflected in 810 client that are done in 800 client.

Hi eric,

check the dataelement of ZZBUNDLE field.In the data element chwck whether the check box 'Change document' has checked or not?Please chk the check box.

Thanks for your feedback. After changing the data element and adding the fields via BD52, the change pointer is triggered !
