Change pointers are not triggered for CL02

Hi ,

I am changing the characteristics long text ( documentation for value ) from CL02 its not generating the change pointers but  If I change same from CT04 then it's generating the change pointers and while creating new characteristic from CL02 then it's generating change pointers for message type CHRMAS and CLSMAS. What's reason why CHRMAS change pointers are not triggered while changing from CL02 . Change pointers are active for both CHRMAS and CLSMAS message types .

Advance thanks

Hello SriHari,

It is Standard behaviour. My system has also same situation, because a double click on the Characteristic from CL02, is not taking to CT04 screen, whereas a Create New Characteristic from CL02 is taking to CT04 screen.

Create New Characteristic Screen from CL02 --> Program SAPLCTMV , screen number 1110.

Change Characteristic Screen from CL02 --> Program SAPLCBCM, screen number 11.

Hello SriHari,

Do this way to change a characteristic from CL02.  Select the Characteristic line item and go to the menu-bar Environment --> Change Characteristic. See the picture below.

Hope this helps

Hi Jogeswara Rao ,

Thanks for your reply . I am able to create the IDOC from the above procedure but it's not getting updated in the target system at class level in the transaction CL02 but same is getting updated in characteristics level CT04.

Is there any procedure to update the ( document for value) text in CL02  in to the target system.

Below updated text not updated in target system.
