Change Pointer - ALE - BDCP &BDCPS

Hello experts !

When we run RBDMIDOC for any message type, and the change doesnt not get stored in the chg. pointer tables (BDCP & BDCPS), could anyone tell me what is the procedure to be done ?

Are there any settings to be done for the message types before running this program for a particular message type.

Currently even though there is change in master data, I am unable to create Idocs using the RBDMIDOC program. I would like to add here that I checked the Change. Doc tables (table CDHDR) and the specific entry is present. However it is not getting recorded in BDCP.

Thanks in advance

Hello ,

Thank you for all your replies. I checked both BD61 (change ptrs have been enabled globally) and BD50 (enbaled for that message type also.).

In fact I am able to create an Idoc for another message type; Only for this message type I am unable to. Also I checked Tables TABA1 and TBDA2 .. everything is set !

However I am still not able to create an Idoc coz there is no corresponding entry in the Chg. Pointer table for some reason. Is there any other setting that I missed out ?

Pls. help

thanks in advance

Mridula,

Verify these tcode....

1) In BD61, Did activated the change pointers globally

2) In BD50, Did have activated the checkbox of message type for change pointers.

3) In BD60, Did have attached the function module to the message type.

4) In BD52, Did have maintained change documents items for the message type.

5) In WE20, Did you maintained Message Type in Partner Profile.

Hope this helps..

Chandra Ralla.

3) In BD60, Did have attached the function module to the message type. -Done

4) In BD52, Did have maintained change documents items for the message type.- yes (this has been done previously itself .. however can you elaborate on bd52 pls ?

5) In WE20, Did you maintained Message Type in Partner Profile. - Done

Atish, I am able to create Idoc for Cost center (COSMAS) ..However for COGRP1 (ie cost center groups).. i am not able to create it. Yes when i see the CHG doc table, the change has been recorded..

thank you for all your help.

Hello,

I don't know whether you solved the problem already (it's quite a long time since March). I just had exactly the same problem.

in SALE-transaction OKKP1 you have to activate the ALE scenario for Cost Center accounting, meaning you have to define the master of cost center hierarchy and set the logical system accordingly.

(By the way: Same for COGRP6 - Profit Center Hierarchy)

In this transactions I simply set the sending system as my master and used scenario "1" (All cost centers centralized) as ALE distribution method.

Et voilà! All change pointers for COGRP1 were distributed through BD21 transaction.

Hope this (still) helps.

Bye,

Connie

Hi Connie,

We have done all the steps mentioned above including OKKP1.  The change pointers are only triggered for Profit Center Standard Hierarchy, not the Profit Center Group (which is not a standard hierarchy).  Could you please advice how I can trigger the change pointer for the PC Group?  I am using COGRP6 message type.  Thanks,

Jennifer
