Change field description

Hi experts

there is a transaction in SAP that allow me to change a field description?

For example on customer master I want to change the

description "Tax Number 1" (field STCD1) with another more "friendly"

for the end-user. I want that all the report or transaction that have this

field inside take the new description

Try with Translation tcode SE63. The main language is German so you can select english maintain the required text which wil effect in all transaction and report. Please also maintain Field Label so it will affect in report output

Changing the label of the field via SE11 in the structure , For this you need to have access key.

Better to find field fieldexit/ user exit to change the label of a field
