CATS: error in Workflow task TS20000460

Hi All, I am configuring CATS (Classic, to be specific). I have created a custom data entry profile to which I have assigned the task TS20000460, for automatic recipient determination. I have created a Org structure with line manager (Chief) and subordinates. I tested the rule 157 (Chief position) in simulation mode, and it is returning the supervisor for the subordinates PERNR entered. The same rule is also defined in the task TS20000460.

Even after configuring all these, when I try to enter a timesheet entry in TCode CAT2, I am receiving an error which says "An error occurred on starting the workflow" (LR 365). Am I missing any config. steps here?

Hi,

1. You need to create one variant called "WORKFLOW" in the program RCATSB01.

In selection screen you assign

Approval Program = 'A'.

2. You need to do the agent assignment for task, Go to PFTC

Additional data->Agent assignment->Maintain->attrubutes and select general task.

Thank you very much Chandra. I had maintained the variant WORKFLOW for RCATSDB01, but did not change the task to general task. I will give it a try.

I have changed the task attribute to "General Task". Now, I am able to save the timesheet entries without any error. Also, the task is creating a workitem for the timesheet entries and forwarding it to the approver.

Hi ,

I have done the settings mentioned above, but still i am getting the same error- An error occurred on starting the workflowAn error occurred on starting the workflow
