Catching a system message

Hello,

I have created a job that calls a standard Bapi many many times to update data.

This Bapi creates a message type "S"

So in my job log I have thousand and thousand messages "S" (document modified Ok)

How to catch or hide this protocol in job log ?

The documentation says :

"Messages of the type S, I, or W are not sent during background processing, but noted in the log. "

How to avoid it ? (without changing the standard code of course)

Check the Bapi return table, you must be using Write statement after the Bapi call to display the messages which subsequenty appears in the job log.

The program must writing return table from BAPI into job log....BAPI can not write itself in log....

to suppress similar kind of message...after each BAPI call you can delete the retunr table with message type 'S', message number....

then it will write one success message after each BAPI return

Hi,

you are probably looping at return messages in your program and dislpaying them. Therefore they appears in a job log in background processing. So do not display them.
