Hey guys,
I am working in 640GUI. when i try to connect screen painter it says graphical layout editor not available.
I copied gneux.exe file from my friends system.
but still it gives same error. could you pls tell me how to solve this problem.

You can re-install the GUI with all the components.

should i have to current uninstall GUI first ? or i can just reinstall GUI as it is...pls confirm..

Hi Ambi,
You need to copy GNEUX.EXE in your GUI directory.

you can just reinstall. if it dosent work. run sapsweep.exe (which you can generally find at C:\WINDOWS\SAPGUI\setup) and then run sapgui install.

Hi,
During the component selection step, under the option 'Development Tools' you can find a node for 'Graphical Screen painter'. Select this and continue installation.

Are you logging on directly or via RFC from another system? I had the same problem when logging on via RFC, but logging on directly allowed the graphical screen painter to come up.

I had the same problem, it doesnt work if i login via RFC , but logging on directly allowed the graphical screen painter.
