Can not edit source code in the FM

HI SDN,

I am able to create a function module, assign a function group and put into a transport in the sandbox. However, I am not able to type any source code though the screen appears to be in the change mode. I am able to change all other tabs but not the source code.

And it is kind of arbitrary. I am able to go to another module which I copied from an existing one and had no problem changing its source.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Shahid

Thanks, that works.

But can you explain to me why did it work? Or what is the significance of this step? Pro's and cons?

as per my knowledge, Modification Asst is useful for SAP to track the custom changes in either Std. SAP code or name space application......and there by in the upgradation process, SPAU will prompt you to carry on custom changes. But, seems that yours is a custom FM, meaning not cust. name space application !! no clue!!.

Did you move the trasnport to Sanbox, and now trying to change the object in SAndbox. In that case the original system of the object is still the Source from where you sent the transport.

You can change the source code in the above case using menu - Edit -> Modification Operations.
