Hi Experts,
I am calling 1 transaction in my report which displays a screen with save icon.
In that particular transaction some processing takes place on pressing save.
So either i want to disable save icon or no processing should take place on pressing save.
Please suggest.

Hi,
You should modify this in the transaction you are calling. If this is a standard one or one that you cannot change, i don't think that this can be done.

Hi,
what you can do is create a transaction variant, and remove the save icon and call that particular transaction.
i hope that 'll solve your problem.

Hi Kaustubh,
The T-Code which you are calling is a standard Sap T code or some custom Z t-code..?

Go to se93 for creating transaction, and check radio button create variant transaction. there it'll ask for a transaction for which u want to create a variant transaction and u can add more button and remove already present functionality. after creating variant transaction, call that particular transaction in ur program.

Transaction variants simplify transaction flow by:
Inserting default values in fields
Hiding and changing the ready for input status of fields
Hiding and changing the attributes of table control columns
Hiding individual menu functions
Hiding entire screens
Transaction variants are actually made up of a series of screen variants. The field values and field attributes for each screen in a transaction variant are stored in screen variants. Each variant is assigned to a transaction. Variants may, however, contain values for screens in multiple transactions, if transaction flow makes this necessary. The transaction the variant is assigned to serves as its initial transaction, whenever you start the variant.
Both client-specific and cross-client transaction variants exist. Screen variants are always cross-client; they may, however, be assigned to a client-specific transaction.
A specific namespace has been designated for cross-client transaction variants and screen variants and they are both automatically attached to the Change and Transport System. Client-specific transaction variants can be transported manually.

No it'll not affect the functionality of your transaction, just the name 'll change, because you want to remove the save button. Transaction 'll work in the same manner.

Hi,
As mentioned by Dheeraj, you can use GuiXT to prevent the save push button to show up on your transaction. In the GuiXT script, you can easily delete the push button by locating the element's name and then, save the script. Once you refresh your SAPGui screen, you will not see the push button on the screen at all.
