Hello,
I have docking container on a screen in which I display a tree control. On node click, I want to be able to do a call transaction on the right pane of the screen? Is this possible? Currently, Call transaction(tcode CV02N) opens up in a new screen.I have seen several posts on this but have not been able to figure out if this was possible. If it's not possible, any suggestions?
Thanks,
Hiri

Hi Friends,
What i need it to create a customer (Z table) customizing table maintenance all of them nested (alv tree), in which doing double click on the record of table 1, i can get all the related records from table 2, and so on, with full maintenance options for all of them (Add, Modify, Delete).
I know we can do this with cluster tables, but my requirement if for doing this with transparent tables.
I will really appreciate your help.
best regards
Melissa

Right, each transaction(program/dynpro) must implement the docking container, the docking container is attached to each dynpro. You can see this functionality in SE80. Although the workbench is a tad more complex, you can see that the individual transactions, such as SE11, SE38, etc, are on the right side and the docking container is implemented on each screen.

I am also working on a requirement to display a tree on the left side of the screen and correspondingly bring up a subscreen or screen on to the right side with out navigating away from the tree on the left side, just like the way SE80 works.
I have tried using the LINK method of the docking container but to no avail. Basically what I did was, I had a custom controller covering the whole screen and in the handler method for the node_double_click event of the tree, I have created a docking container object giving sy-repid and dynpro number(of the screen wanted to display) in the parameters to the constructor. That didnu2019t bring up the screen. Then I called the link method of the docking container, but that doesnu2019t seam to do anything either!
I would highly appreciate if you could help me figure out where I am doing a mistake.

Hi,
You can create the cluster view to group the table maintenance using the transaction SE54..

Hi,
Due to customer standards, i cannot do it using cluster tables. In summary, i just need to make appear a transaction in the container at the right hand.
Could you gimme some advice? I am using Splitter container, at the left side i have an ALV Tree and atthe right side must appear the requested transaction, now the program is openning a new window with the transaction content. Again, i want to make it appear in the container.
Many thanks for your help.

Hello Hitesh
It is not possible to display any transaction within a (docking) container. Why not? Because container can only contain other containers or controls but not dynpros.
How does the SAP standard solve this problem? For example, if you display a sales order (transaction VA02) and want to create the corresponding bill then the SAP standard calls the transaction for billing and leaves transaction VA02.
