Hello All,
I Know its annoying as it must have been asked multiple times....but i am stuck with this.
i don't know whats happening or what i am missing.
The requirement is as simple...i just want to add a button in Application toolbar.
here is the code:
i have created 'ZPF' as new gui status and i want to add refresh button on application toolbar.
and finally the application toolbar has no button.
please tell me what i am missing

Can you define ur Refresh Icon in Application Toolbar ? Check below Screen Shot .

Hi Abhishek
Copy a standard GUI staus into z.And then add a pushbutton in Application tool bar and assign a Function code. Call the Gui using set pf-status<name>.

i dont want to copy the standard gui status...i want to make my custom gui status.

and the wiered thing is that these function codes are getting triggered on Keyboard commands(F5)

u r giving wrong Function code. give like below
F5 - REFR - REFRESH. I HOPE IT WILL WORK.

these function codes are not predefined.man we can define the way we like!

ALV Function Codes always start with & eg &REF.
And I hope you have defined it in Application Toolbar section of Menu painter.
It is always recommended that you copy the standard GUI of ALV and then make changes to it. Its not difficult with lesser probability of errors

thanks for....problem solved..
Not to mention it was silly error :
i was assigning button in wrong place.
i have assigned it in freely assigned keys.>> that why they are getting triggered on keyboard command....
