Hi Venkat,

Sandbox – The term used to identify a client that has been built and maintained for use by developers, testers, validators, instructors, or trainees to practice transactions without fear of contaminating system data. Information entered into this system is usually lost the next time it is refreshed or rebuilt.

Sandbox is the environment where u initially develop your programs, where the dummy data exits for testing purpose in some client locations u will have this sandbox only for testing your program once u developed it.

That is this is the environment before the testing phase where u develop u r programs.

or

SAND BOX is nothing but SAP client where the system is configured for general requirements. To work on testing or developements or try out, this will begin with sand box. In this u will use the data which is alrady configured like plant, co code, cost center, GL, etc

Reward points if helpful.

Regards,

Hemant

Hi ,

1. SANDBOX is nothing but

another name for DEVELOPMENT Server.

2. This is the originating server.

3. It means

4. All Customization , all developments,

all primary things,

are first done in this server - sand box.

(it is just like sand,

we can give any shape we like)

also

check

The sand box is just a nickname for that client in the system. The sand box client. Or this can be a totally separated instance. Its just like any other R/3 system, it is just designed to be wide open and allows you to play around with config. Usually it is a good idea to have some data in that client. In my case, we had to create our own data when playing around.

hi,

A Sandbox is used to check if everything works well or not.eg; if a new client works ....he will be given the sand box to see ....

SAP is required for a sandbox......

even any one must do with the sandbox test or else no transport request must be done while in sandbox...

if useful reward with points,

with regards,

madhuri.
