BSEG activation issue

SAp Guru's,

I have created 2 custom fields at bseg table through append structure & I have deleted due to some issue.

Then deleted append structure from bseg table but its not activating. I have checked in se14 as well. please find below screen for the same;

could any one help me on this. How to activate BSeg with out custom fields.

Hi ,

You neet to delete these fied in from VIEW which system is giving in eror msg.

and then adujust bseg in se14.

But view is not in editable mode: view V_QCMBSEG

Its prompting acccess key for this.

please suggest me how to delete.

If I am not wrong this needs to be adjusted at the Database level with the help of Basis Team.

Even I want to know why such errors occurs and what exaclty is the best practice to avoid such errors.

I have revert back changes (append stru) what I did earlier in BSEG. Now its not going any dump for BSEG related tcode.

But how to delete this append structure. I have checked notes but its dint have information about this.

Which release is SAP_BASIS in your system ?

I think we need Basis help to resolve this issue.

Dear Kiran,

Thank you for ur reply. I have done the changes in DEV server & now I have maintained append structure changes in local object at BSEG table.

So the transaction codes releated to table BSEG is wroking fine, I mean with out dump.

So its okay to leave this or I need to contact basis team, bcz I have mainatined changes in local object it will not transportable.

Please suggest.

But BSEG is not active right ?

You need to revert BSEG changes by activating it successfully.

Which release is SAP_BASIS in your system ? Is the note 1933582 not relevant to the release that you are currently in ? Don't hesitate to seek BASIS team's opinion on this.

Hi kiran,

BSEG is in active only with my append structure. This append structure have mainatained in local object.

Below I have found release through -> system->stauts

Release              11.00.3393.00

This is what ur expecting, if not suggest me where can will check for the same.

When we change or add any field or data element in se11 the error will come like that(structure change at field level)to overcome this issue we se14 and click on ‘activate and adjustment table’ even though the error not rectified use go to  Extras- clik on -(force conversion) from se14.it will defiantly rectified the issue

we are trying to login as DDIC user and reconstruct table BSEG? As we had appended 2 fields and after deleting it’s not deleting BSEG table.

But still its prompting error.plz suggest.

We are solved the issue. By login as DDIC user, in se14 we select the save data radio button & adjusted but still error prompts. So we selected delete data radio button & adjusted so issues resolved.

But now one more issue, in BSEG TABLE there is no data.

Is there any option to get back data.

plz suggest.

By choosing delete data radio button you had added one more problem to your queue.

Now the question is what if this TR gets transported to Q and P ? Will it delete the data in BSEG even in Q and P ?

Kiran Its sandbox system, Will not transport any TR releated to BSEG, Now only we will create from scratch.
