BDC using FICO

Hello SAP Gurus,

please help me out.

extract a file from a specialized software program for auditing expense reports and bring this data into SAP. The standard accounting extract contains expense types, general ledger codes and dollar amounts for each expense report approved. The information would be extracted as a flat text file. (Data would need to be transformed into SAP format.)

Explain me what is the Transaction code to be use to upload data in SAP database using BDC.

Explain me about expense types,General ledger and dollar amounts.

What is the diffrence between BDC and LSMW.

Hi ,

I can explain u the difference between LSMW and BDC .

LSMW is for mass data updation and that is done by reading the inputs from a file .The updation into SAP can be done by means of BDC , BAPI etc

So we can say LSMW is more generalised approach .

BDC needs us to do a recording in SHDB , this recording is simulation of how it would be entered in the transaction .

For transaction details , I think u post in another forum which deals with FICO related issues .
