I searched forum but did not get clear answer so posting.
I am working on a BDC. Screen has Table. How can I find out how many rows there will be during BDC and when I need to do page down.
Thanks,
AP

Hi,
The system field SY-LOOPC Contains the total number of rows visible in the TC and SY-STEPL contains the row number of current row.
Then use P+ to page down p- for page up as the values of sy-ucomm
Hope this will serve your purpose.
Cheers

Hi,
While recording in the table for the BDC, start from the line line in the table, and after u enter the first record, hit enter.
The line you just entered will move to the first position. Similarly record input for 2-3 records and save the recording.
Hence, regardless of how many lines your upload data has, the data will be filled into the table from the last line -> subsequently moving to the first line and u need not worry about the lines of records.

Hi,
Its really not required to know the number of rows before doing the page down. While recording after entering the items in all the displayed rows, use 'P+' BDC_OKCODE wherein the page down function will be recorded and can be used in the program.
