BDC sessions_In processing

In BDC SM35, Some sessions have been created long back and these are there under Tab ' In processing '.Info on these as below

Total number of transactions : 5

Transactions with errors : 0

Processed transactions : 0

Transaction used in session is: F-30

So 1.what might be the reason? or

2. Should I ask them to reprocess the session?

3.I guess, when you are processing session in Foreground, if you abend the session, that will be in 'In process' status only. Am I correct?

Appreciate your response~

Thanks,

Aravinda.

Sometimes when system gets down while the session is under process, then it will show like that. We can release the session status, by right clicking and selecting release option.

Will there be a discrepancy in the SAP data if I release the session?

hi,

this means that u r not releasing the program to qlty/prod/testing but u r releasing the status of the data .so, there wont be any discrepancy to SAP system like that

hi,

first check whether ur data is updated or not.i think ur data is updated and session is not maintained.check BDCMSGCOLL values to check if the program has any errors and is not executed like msg.else ur program is executed and u need not to execute it again.

as far as releasing it is not affecting the process .so release it.
