BDC screen fields differ from one to another

Hi,

I want to do a recording for tcode KE21. When we run KE21 it has nearly 21 fields on the first screen. But when i do the recording for KE21 using SHDB, the number of fields are just 12 on the first screen. So after the recording, I am getting the error saying that field mismatch or similar to that. I dont want to use KE21N. There is no 'POSITION' button like what we find in VA01. How to solve this?

Vijay,

There may be a difference in the screens that you see when you execute the transaction normally and via SHDB for recording. But from a functionality aspect, the SHDB also should cover all the options that you are looking for. This is primarily because the BDC runs in the background and might differ in the way it runs in the foreground.

do you have the exact text of the error produce by SAP ?

Did you try to run the record of your SHDB ?

Did you record the KE21 using the background mode ?

Hi,

i run the prog in background. In foreground if i run the prog, the fields are mismatching. Pls try a recording for ke21 with sample data & solve my problem.
