Hi

As the word record implies, it mean recording the keystroke of the user input of a SAP transaction screen.

Before you work with the Batch Input methods, you should know the purpose of the tool

Transaction Recorder.

Use:

You can use the transaction recorder to record a series of transactions and their screens.

Features:

You can use the recording to create

Data transfer programs that use batch input or CALL TRANSACTION

Batch input sessions

Test data

Function modules.

Note: It doesn’t record F1, F4 and Scrollbar movements

Hi,

BDC is basically a tool to upload the data in tables. You can do recording using Tcode SHDB/SM35. there give the recording name and the Tcode for which you want to do recording. Once the processing is complete you can save the recording and SAP gives a tool to create ABAP program using this recording.

For details you can check the following links as well :

Hi,

his transaction allows a user to record keystrokes and other keyboard actions so that they may be incorporated into a BDC session. While any session may be recorded, it does not mean that the recording can be used to create a session. Within a recording individual screens may not be allowed.

Customized screens may present a problem. Only use the non-customized screens to record sessions.

In this example, the transaction MM is recorded.

Enter transaction SHDB, also called The Transaction Recorder:Recording Overview.

saction normally. When completed, the Transaction Recorder: Edit Recording screen is shown, Click the Save icon, which saves the recording. Green arrow back to the starting point (Transaction Recorder).
