We are using a custom program to post budget to investment measures(WBS) from investment program. In this program we are making use of BDC to post these values to IM42. The BDC returns errors in a tables of type BDCMSGCOLL. But in this case the error message returned is 'Errors found --> Access the error log'(Message class : BP Message Number : 101). On executing online, messages are displayed as a pop-up. Would anyone know how we can get these messages which are in the log? I checked the application log - there are no entries created in it.
Appreciate your help!!
Thanks,
Anju.

I've encountered the same sort of problem and could not find a good solution. The only way to find the exact problem is to process the error session.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for your reply!!
The custom program is designed for IM52 and not IM42. As per SAP note for IM52(508688), this transaction cannot be recorded. Instead, we first execute and then return from IM52 and then call IM42. What this does is, it sets the relevant Inv Measures in memory thus ensuring that only selected WBS Elements are pulled in when we execute IM42. Now, in this case, we set the relevant WBS elements in shared buffer and these values are read on executing IM42. So, for multiple errors sessions would not work as at any given time the shared buffer would have only the values that were set in the latest transaction. All previous values would be over-written. On executing the session, only the latest transaction pulls up the errors. All other transactions end with the message 'No measures found'. Have you encountered a similar scenario?
Thanks,
Anju.
