Hi experts,

I have a basic dought i.e SAP already provided standard applications and Reports.

but my dought is insted of using those reports why we need to develope new reports?

sap has provided standard reports but say u want a report which should list sales order line items with delivery & billing document....this report is not provided by SAP...in this case we need to develop a report...such scenarios exists across all modules and user might need various functionalities in the reports which sap reports does not provide....

There is STandard SAP Functionality.

There is Customer Requirement.

If Customer Requirement - Standard Functionality <> 0, then we should go for Customr development...:)

Sap has given the stadard functionality keeping in mind, a generic Idea of all the companies' requirement's , but it reality the company's requirements are very specific to itself, which drives the need for customization.

Hi,

For some companies, the standard applications and reports may not meet their requirements. Therfore, they need to customize the standard applications and reports in order to support their business processes.

Even SAP needs to provide special enhancement codes and bolt-on to its customers for specific/unique requirements.
