Barcode resizing

Hi experts ,

I have used standard barcode ARTNR in my form chnaging the width and hieght of it to get right size . It looks good when done printing test via se71->utilities->printing test .but when printed its still too big . I have never worked with barcode earlier , Any input will be great .

Are you using SAPscript, Smatforms or Adobe?

Added: Just realised you are using SAPscript as you mentioned SE71. If you change the size of the font associated with the barcode to a smaller size it should to the trick.

Thanks for reply ,

I already chnaged the hieght and width of barcode ARTNR(it this okay or I have create a new system barcode) and checked in se71->utilities->printing test , it looks the right size but when printed the size is still little big , Do you think I should decrease height and width untill I get the right size with printer .

You can resize according to your requirement using SE73 transaction.

Hi Vinay,

What you can do is create a character format, assign your barcode to that character format and specify a small font. IE: Courier Size 6pt.

I did that but cant test it now , I have another question regarding superscript and subscript of barcode . What are they meant for .

Hi Neil ,

I have changed the font size but the barcode size is not changinn only the readable font under it is chaning , And what to do if we wantr that readable font not to be printed , I tried turning superscript and subscript options off but still the value of field is printed under barcode ,

Hi Neil ,

I dint want the readable font below the barcode , I used a different system barcode which does not print readable font , with the resizing I The the functional team was okay with size . actually to change we have to go SPAD and chnage the prefix setting for the Device type in use .

goto se73.

click on system barcode and then change.

then inside u will get ARTNR . JUST CLICK ON THAT AND CHANGE IT.

IT WILL GIVE U CHANCE TO CHANGE HEIGHT AND WIDTH.
