Barcode not visible after printing using dot matrix

Hi All,

Working over barcode printing using dot matrix printer on to a sapscript form. The problem is we are unable to print the barcode onto the pre-printed form. The barcode is visible in the print preview. The invoice number we are trying to print is only visible at the place where the barcode should have been printed. Using barcode Code39.The transaction from which we are printing is VF03. Could give some suggestions and help us overcome the issue.

Hello Ramesh,

when plain text will be printed instead of the barcode, it usually happens when the barcode should have been printed by a DIMM/SIMM module inside the printer, and this module is missing.

SAP Note #1557674 - "Overview of bar code printing from SAP system" describes the barcode printing possibilities from R/3, and in this example it seems that the first one is used.

Perhaps the new barcode technology (third solution in this Note) with a SAPWIN-Device Type can be tested.
