BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 updating VBKD custom fields

Hello

I'm trying to update custome fields on VBKD using BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2. I've successfully updated custom fields on VBAK using EXTENSIONIN but cant seem to get the update of VBKD right. The SAP help is a bit vague. Is there anyone out there who has managed to do this successfully and if so could you please share your knowledge?
