BAPI's basic concept

Dear All

What is the basic concept of Bapi?

As I known BAPI can be used to create something, such as PO PR and so on.But Will bapi also read the customzing modification and enhancement of we have did in the system?

If we modified something, Will we still can use the standard BAPI to create something?

hai bapi is mehtod of business object,

bapi is not only used for creatign soemthign , it cna be used for readign from sap

external system cna communicate with sap using bapi

and u willl get lot of help on sdn on bapis

Hi edward,

Bapi are nothing but RFC remote function module's mostly they are alternate to BDC's...

so BDC is nothing but screen reacording and updationg the tables using transaction..

int he same way bapi are used to update the tables same like transactions..

Bapi has provided some extended structrure that will help to write the custom code to fill the custom fields added in the standard tables..

For every standard BAPI they are create, dispaly , getlist,delete,modify or change will be available..

Hi,

1) What is the basic concept of Bapi?

create/change/delete Master Data

2) As I known BAPI can be used to create something, such as PO PR and so on.But Will bapi also read the customzing modification and enhancement of we have did in the system?

 Its SAP delivered Object, so whatever modifications you do has to be taken care by changes in BAPI by this I mean SAP Enhancements

3) If we modified something, Will we still can use the standard BAPI to create something?

Yes, You need to Enhance your BAPI to take care of additional fields.
