BAPI for posting Basic Pay Infotype, without adding Basic Salary Wage Type

Hi All,

I have a requirement in PA30 , where in, I need a BAPI which doesn't throw an error on skipping the addition of Amount (say - Basic Salary / Adhoc Salary etc), and permits only addition of certain fields. In my case, the fields which I want to insert data for are - Pay Scale - Group and Pay Scale - Level. I don't wish to add the amount in the Item Level - Wage Type , Wage Type Long Text , Amount , Currency etc . I'm presently using the BAPI - BAPI_BASICPAY_CREATE. Everything works fine, but if I put the wage amount as 0.0 in the "Tables" section for Wage Type, it gives an error - Enter Amount or number.

Is there any way out ? I do have the option of BDC, but I was recommended to use BAPI.
