Hi,

We are integrating a third party PLM system into our ECC 6 landscape and are searching for a BAPI for MP01 (Maintain Approved Manufacturer parts list). We have been unable to isolate a BAPI.

Can anyone point us towards a suitable BAPI?

thanks

Richard

MMMh... I'm not sure exists... Can you try with batch-input?

Not sure a specific bapi exists, but function modules MB_POST_AMPL and/or MB_AMPL_UPDATE might help you out

Those are plain update task FM just containers for some open-sql statements, no check performed, no database consistency insured -> Don't use

FYI the transactions MP01 & MP02 use those FM's. So you can check in SAPLMBAM on how they are to be used.

Of course they use it, those are update task FM (*) , at end of most if not all SAP transactions, once checks are successfully performed and the system has prepared data for update of database, call such FM in sequence IN UPDATE TASK and execute a commit-work. Did yu actually look at their source code?

Your suggestion is some "copy part of the whole transaction program" (copy every check and the preparation of dta...) so better use BDC, when no BAPI, IDoc or DIrect Input program available...

Raymond

(*) Read some documentation like The Update Process and Transactions and Logical Units of Work / Database Logical Unit of Work (LUW) .

Thanks all. Looks like a different approach is required than originally thought!
