How to give error message in BADI. give some good explanation.

You can use the SAP Application log for this purpose.The SAP Application log is used to collect messages and display it as and when required.This is mostly used in exits and BADIs where collective messages are to be shown to the user.You can have a look at the SAP demo program <b>SBAL_DEMO_04_POPUP</b> for your reference.
