I need help to use BADI_MATERIAL_REF multiple use flag. I cannot tick it, I get the message "Changes to transported Business Add-In definitions are incompatible". It already has an existing active implementation ZBADI_MATERIAL_REF1 in our main system, so it is in conflict with my new implementation ZBADI_MATERIAL_REF2 since the "Multiple use" is not ticked. Because of this, only 1 implementation can be Active and I need both implementations active. I cannot incorporate my changes to the existing implementation ZBADI_MATERIAL_REF1, because it will also be transported to systems that don't need this first implementation.
Hope somebody can help me on this. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
first inactive the existing implementation and then it allow you to creat the new one to implement for the same BADI.
Thanks and Regards,

I was able to create the new implementation already. The problem is I can not activate more than 1 implementation. Even if you deactivate the first implementation, you cannot reactivate it while the new one is activated. Transaction MM01 is setup to call only a single implementation. I need both implementations active at the same time.

You cannot do this if some systems require the both implementations. (except if you change the standard SAP programs...)
So try to merge both implementations in one, and create a "flag" (like a record in TVARVC or some Z-customizing table) that will be checked by the BADI (if flag is initial / code from first implementation / else / code of the second implementation ), transport/maintain the new flag to/in target systems.

Raymond
