hi experts,

i want to run a report program in background.To execute in background i have to press F9.But i get a popup to enter the output device. I do not want that pop up.Also the program should run successfully.

How can i do this ?

Hi,

Normally there will no pop up when we run the Program in the background, just try this way, in the selection screen, From the menu press Execute in the Background.

You can execute a report in background by scheduling a job in sm37.

If u want to run it in background there is an option in the menu Execute in the Background..Else create a job in SM36 and give ur program name and also schedule it....

Just give the printer name as LOCL and move forward...whats the problem with the popup?

Hi Srinivas,

If you want to execute the program in background using F9 button, then the pop-up will always come. You cant suppress that.

Following are other options:

1. Execute the transaction and then click Program=>execute in background

2. Schedule a background job through SM36.
